5 Tips to Prepare Your Home for Winter
The coldest temperatures of the year are knocking on our doors - and we've got some great tips to prepare:
Clean your gutters - a backup of debris can cause major water leak problems.
Drain Outside Faucets - a frozen faucet can cause your piping systems to crack and damage outdoor drains.
Check for drafts on Windows & Doors - a HUGE amount of heating (and cooling) energy could be lost due to drafts! Cover them up & retain more heat - and likely a lower utility bill!
Fix Any Driveway Cracks - even a small crack can grow during a freeze/thaw cycle. Patch them now to avoid costly repairs down the road.
Test Out Winter Equipment - What is worse than firing up the snow blower and something needs immediate repair? Make sure those blowers & winter equipment work!
It might not be quite a winter wonderland outside - but use these tips to get ahead and enjoy your cup of coffee or tea by the fire!
