Why didn’t a home transaction close?
There are several reasons - but the most common are:
Inspections - the buyer discovered something during the home inspection they do not want to deal with or feel comfortable addressing.
Appraisals - the home appraisal comes in low and the buyer and/or seller don’t come to an agreement.
Financing - the buyer’s financing falls through or doesn’t come through as expected.
Change of Heart - the buyer simply changes their mind. This is a HUGE investment and people do back out sometimes.
Unforeseen Circumstances - this could be a variety of things - but a real-life example we helped our clients through was a house getting struck by lightning. Yup. VERY unforeseen….
Sometimes, things fall apart. Thankfully - that doesn’t happen often for our clients.
Make sure you work with a realtor that is experienced & can help you to navigate through anything that may happen.
